Crewman is the lowest level able rank in the Tau'ri Space Force they wear squash (dark orange) uniforms and jumpsuits with brown epaulettes on them. On these they wear their three stripe, grey square insignia on either side.

About[]

A Full Crewman is the equivalent to the rank of private first class in the Army, lance corporal in the Marines, Airman First Class in the Air Force and seaman in both the Navy and Coast Guard. As many armed forces around the world have started shifting their attention from Earth bound troubles to the dangers from outer space. Space Force from its inception adopted the policy to allow all those working in these equivalent ranks to transfer into it at this rank after completion of the Lower Advanced Space Force Training Regiment at the Moon Base.

Duties[]

As an able member of the ship's crew they are expected to take on full job responsibilities in the speciality they are assigned or in some cases that they have picked out themselves. They generally help run whatever group they are part off they are also expected to continue studying their fields in their free time and help lower level crewman in their studies by giving them advice and training assignments.

Promotion[]

Promotion to this rank happens either after finishing their advanced schooling with decent passing grades and gaining approval for full crewmanship from the Chief Petty Officer or after completion of the Advanced Space Force Training Regiment at the Moon Base. This schooling can take anywhere between six months and a year and a half.

Dismissal and Demotion[]

From this rank on you are expected to be able to follow the orders of your superiors both enlisted and commissioned. You are also expected to give small assignments to lower level crewman. Abuse of this power will lead to immediate dismissal from service, while insubordination can lead to a temporary demotion.
