The Ocean of Wei is a topographical location on the planet of Simarka.

Appearance

The Ocean of Wei is a pretty stable relatively calm ocean with few different currents running through it. It has many proper trade routes running across it.

Geography

The Ocean of Wei is located between the Land of 7000 Tribes and the Hanian Peninsula of the Han Empire.

History

The Ocean of Wei was for many years to broad to cross on boat, only about a 1000 years ago have Weiians been able to cross it after inventing ships and creating trade routes. The Ocean of Wei which is actually located above the Peninsula of Wei has been called such since time immemorial. This is most likely due to the mythical Empire of Wei that is said to have existed in the past and to have encompassed both the Hanian Peninsula and the Weiian Peninsula if not also the Ohamara Peninsula.

Ecology

The Ocean of Wei supports a very bland Cambrian like marine life with several species of Pikaia and Trilobites and possibly various kinds of algae though this is speculation on my part.

Culture

To the so called Weiians as well as to Hanians the ocean holds much cultural reference as they see the ocean as the ensurer if not the bringer of freedom.
