Next to the dig sites are both a food tents and recuperation tent. Most mines have between 600 and 800 workers, the primary mine can host as many as 2000 workers.

Geography[]

The naquadah mines of Abydos are located all around the relatively near vicinity of the Temple of Ra.

History[]

These mines were originally created by and mined by the Unas who were forced to work here for Ra.

Then when Ra found the humans on Earth and brought the Abydonians here in 4631 BCE they became the generally far more willing eternal workforce.

The Abydosian Naquadah Mines were destroyed along with the rest of the planet in 2003 when Anubis blew it up.

Ecology[]

The mines together had enough room for a population of 14.000 people, even though only about 180 to 360 people per mine opted to stay there permanently.

Culture[]

The mines were seen by the Abydonians as the way the prove themselves to Ra so they may gain long lasting indolence in the afterlife.
